Biography
Sarah White is an Assistant Director based in Sacramento, California. She attended Sierra College before transferring to Cal Poly Humboldt, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film. During her studies, she specialized in Assistant Directing and Producing, contributing to numerous film projects, including an award-winning film titled The Void. She also produced a capstone film (a dark, romantic period piece), assembling a crew of 19 members and coordinating with the university’s string quartet to incorporate original music into the production.
As an Assistant Director, she concentrates on on-set productivity, ensuring schedules are managed efficiently while maintaining the well-being of her crew. She understands how to support individuals effectively while also finding alternative ways to facilitate the progress of a project. She demonstrates consistent time management skills and is able to access workflows proactively or as needed in real-time. She is adaptable and quick to acquire new skills, which supports the effective performance of her colleagues' responsibilities. She is meticulous and attentive to detail, allowing the director to focus entirely on their creative vision and consistently prioritizing the director's needs and objectives.
